The Tintype is a wonderful, full length, standing portrait of the Cavalry Soldier wearing a blue tinted frock coat and slouch hat. He sit atop his horse in what appears to be a McClellan Saddle holding the reins lightly. Both Cavalryman and horse stand on what appear to be an open plain. Neither the soldier nor the photographer is identified in any way.
