1860s UNION ARMY CIVIL WAR INFANTRY SOLDIERS BRASS CAP INSIGNIA / HAT BADGE

Rare original Civil War Period, Brass Infantry Hat Insignia. Badge in the form of a Military Bugle. 3 5/8" wide and 2" tall. The Bugle is stamped from a medium weight, shell brass and has 2, brass wire loops on the reverse that were used to attach the Insignia to the Hat. This wonderful Civil War Period, Infantry Hat Badge came to us with a small group of Civil War Shoulder Scales and Cap insignia and is 100% unconditionally guaranteed to be original and of the Civil War period.

It is in very good condition with a rich, warm age patina and some mottling but no significant damage of any kind.
