19thC Antique CIVIL WAR SOLDIER 82nd PA INFANTRY Union UNIFORM HAT TINTYPE PHOTO
1 of 3 Union & Confederate 1/6th Plate Civil War Soldiers listed Tonight. 1/6th Plate Union Civil War Infantry Soldier Tintype. This is 1 of 3 Union & Confederate Civil War Soldier Photographs Listed Tonight that have been in our Personal Collection for the past decade or so. This is an Authentic 1/6th Plate Tintype Image featuring a Civil War Soldier in Full Regalia. He was Identified as Great Uncle Jimmy and was Identified at the time as Being James McCahan a Soldier in a Pennsylvania based Unit.
After a bit of research the information checked out and this old Boy not only had a Name but was Identified as a Private in the 82nd Pennsylvania Infantry, Company F. He displays very well with nice Clarity and very minimal age wear to the photo itself. There is no Case present though the brass preserver displays nicely.
He is Guaranteed to be an Authentic Period Image and would be a Welcome addition to any Collection. This Soldier has an Impressive record with his unit having Fought in the Battles of Gettysburg, Spotsylvania Couthouse, Antietam, Cold Harbor & the First Battle of Fredericksburg. 1 of 50+ Estate Fresh Items Picked Weekly. Displays very well with a few light scuffs and a tiny dent to the photo but the image is as clear as can be with outstanding attention to detail.
Housed in half of a 1/6th plate case. Not marked on the back or Identified. 3 1/4" Tall 2 3/4" Across.
