ANTIQUE HAND CARVED PRIMITIVE DUCK DECOY SIGNED ALABAMA CARVER & CIVIL WAR SOLDIER w/ HISTORY. This is a remarkable find! This is a hand carved primitive Americana duck decoy that was signed and carved by a private in the Confederate army for the Alabama 4th Regiment, Alabama Cavalry. This rare, piece of primitive Americana is in exceptionally good condition for its age please see all photos.

This hand carved decoy measures approximately 13-1/2" in length from beak to tail, approximately 6-1/2" tall from the base to the top of the head and approximately 4-1/4 tall from the base to the top of the back. Vought (Vaught) on the bottom. It is painted in varying shades of gray and a dark umber. This gorgeous vintage duck decoy is one of a kind and would be an outstanding addition to any collection!
