For sale is an amazing early weathervane. The rust between the panels is deep....

I believe this vane was supposed to represent a civil war soldier... Regardless the piece itself is over 100 years old.... What a fantastic silhouette weathervane - especially containing such historic content!!!! One thing to note is that the paint on one side is more faded than the other - this is because it had been mounted on a building where one side saw sunlight and the other did not..

I have not tried to wash or clean the faded side to try to bring out some more of the color.... This piece would have had directionals underneath of it - no directionals are included.... Again, just a totally fantastic piece that deserves a place where it can be displayed and appreciated. This measures 13 1/2" at the widest by 37 1/2" at the tallest points..
