A very nice original tintype Civil War photo of a Union soldier. This handsome young trooper is sitting in a studio setting. The buttons on his coat are highlighted in gold and his pants are in a very realistic pale blue color. The photo is in a Victorian frame which was most likely added later. The back of the frame is marked 47th PA? So this could be his regiment. The photo shows slight surface crackling, it measures about 3.125" x 2.5". The frame has some damage on his right side it measures 9.125" x 7". A great Civil War image for your collection.
