1/9 Plate Civil War Ambrotype Handsome Union Soldier Large Brass Buttons
This nice 1/9 plate ambrotype features a handsome young Union volunteer posing in a photographers studio. He buttoned only the top button of his greatcoat's cape, revealing rows of large brass buttons on his overcoat and uniform jacket underneath. The image is rather dark and the plate has many varnish brush strokes, but with his rouged cheeks he still has a great look. Comes in a full case.
