This is a nice looking and original very good condition Civil War soldier ambrotype photograph from the 1860s era.... Studio posed image of a Union soldier in uniform holding his revolver... Has a patriotic stamped brass matte with slogan on bottom The Union Now and Forever... Its in very good shape with no damages or excessive wear to image-no name.. The matte has a little green verdigris...

The case is dark brown gutta percha and is intact with minor corner wear..... Its 3" x 2 1/2"..... Looks and displays well and is guaranteed original and authentic.. Check listing for several other interesting 19thc photographs from an upstate NY estate...
