Two Civil War carte-de-visites of Peter R. Volunteered together on March 15, 1862. The soldier with the long hair is Samuel and the one with the mustache is his brother Peter. They were living in Hiawatha, Kansas and enlisted in the. 7th Regiment of the Kansas Volunteer Cavalry.
The condition is fair with some fading and both are slightly musty. It belonged to their uncle George Klinefelter and had a list of names which confirmed the identification. A copy of the list will be included with the CDVs. I have about 40 other antique photograph auctions also ending on the evening of Sunday the 26th.They include images of Native Americans, Civil War soldiers, hunting scenes, locomotives and various occupations.
