Case Pictured in : Krainik #439; Berg #3-276. D escription: What we have here is a double header - beautiful case and a fabulous ambrotype. Of a soldier armed with a sword and two knives in his belt. On his other side is the scabbard. He is full standing and looks mean as heck.

He's someone to avoid in any kind of fight. On his belt buckle are the letters US. There is another item stuck on belt (left side) but I can't tell what it is. There is some oxidation around the mat opening. The image is an ambrotype on ruby glass.

Case Condition: Superb, nearly mint, and very bright deep brown color throughout. There is a tiny flake on the bottom rail (hard to see) otherwise MINT.
