Antique Civil War Armed Soldier Tintype, Sword, Union Case, Upside Down Buckle

Up for your consideration is this Antique Civil War Soldier Tintype with Union Case. The tintype itself measures 4 1/4" tall x 3 1/4" wide (1/4 plate). The whole case itself measures 4 7/8" tall x 4" wide. The soldier is wearing an upside down eagle belt buckle. He has a sword on his left side. He also has a couple flowers or something either in his hat or coming out of his hair?

The inside of the case says - Genuine Union Case Improved - S. The tintype is in Pre-owned Used Condition. The union case has some damage near the hinge.
