Two tintype photos with men dressed in civil war period uniforms. Tintype photos appear to have been one photo originally, then cut into two sizable photos to fit into the match safe frames (look closely at the picture with the tintypes side-by-side, the fingers of one of the gents looks to be overlapping into the other picture).
Tintypes have a rigid edges. Tintypes remove from frames easily.
Has a rope design around inside edges. Metal is worn and have visible signs of use meaning tarnishing, surface scratches and grim. Strike is worn and has been used. Lid opens and closes very good, is secure and tight. Tintypes are dark, perhaps dirty and have grim, but the images are visible and readable.
Tintypes have no known damage or repairs. Tintypes fit tight and secure in frames.Match safe: 2 3/4 inches x 1 1/4 inches. Tintypes: 2 inches x 1/4 inches each. Based on tintype photos, dating the safe to the mid to late 1800's, but can not 100% confirm or guarantee. Asking for it and paying for it is your responsibility. We are honest, respectful and trusting and in return we assume our buyers are, too.
