Ca 1860's CIVIL WAR CDV SIZE TINTYPE ARMED UNION INFANTRY SOLDIER. Offered is a Civil War CDV size tintype of a armed Union Infantry Soldier.

He has a saber bayonet in front of him with his hands resting on the weapon. Interesting view as there is a second soldier standing just to the right waiting for his turn. The canvas backdrop is attributed to the traveling photographers that followed the Army Of The Potomac.

This one would have been taken in the field and sent home. It measure approximately 3 5/8" x 2 5/16". The tin comes without a case, glass, mat, or preserver. A few noted bends in the main body.

A few light marks and surface wear also noted. Some crazing to the surface as well.
