EXQUISITE CASED 1/9th PLATE CIVIL WAR SOLDIER PAIR RUBY AMROBTYPE W/ WEAPONS - MALE AFFECTION POSE. This wonderful extremely crisp early into the Civil War 1/9th PLATE ruby glass Ambrotype of two CIVIL WAR Union soldiers - one with sword and sheath and other with hanging sheath but strangely lacking sword. One soldier lacking sword wears tall knee high boots and sports trousers that are lighter in color than the other soldier's. One moustashed Union soldier affectionately has placed his hand on shoulder of other Union officer, all while exhibiting a slight smirk in his face over that of his fellow officer: evident of male affection. Both Union soldiers wear KEPI HATS. Back and front with no chips or cracks to glass - found AS SHOWN. Some matte edge scuffs to outer edges of plate as shown.

Both Union soldier's buttons and one sword hilt and belt buckle showing delicately GOLD GILT tinted. Case hinge relatively tight and not broken. A super fine image with great but not so often found content. Look over the photos closely. AS SHOWN ABOVE AND BELOW.
