Dandy CDV image of a soldier with wife and young child. RC Dutcher written on back with a New Haven, CT, backmark.

There are no RC Dutchers but there is 3 William Dutchers that served from CT, one of which shows up on the 1870 census in New Haven, married with kids. Anyway, further research is needed to see if there is a connection between One of the William Dutchers and RC Dutcher.

Perhaps the image was given to RC Dutcher. Great image none the less, the boarder of the cdv has been trimmed to where it is just the image itself.
