This is an early Civil War 1/6 plate Ambrotype showing a handsome young man with his rifle and shako helmet. We can see U on his buckle and an eagle on his helmet. This photograph was taken just before or early during the Civil War.

The image is sealed, the black paint on the reverse has a little loss, we put a piece of black paper behind the image to correct it. The case shows some wear and is split at the spine.
