Original 1/6th plate tintype of a Union soldier hodling his rifle across his chest and wearing a cartridge box. Image is housed in a thermoplastic case that is identified in Kranik & Walvoord's book on Union Cases as a scarce case made by A. And is referred to as the "Bobby Shafto" case as the illustration on the case is reminiscent of an 18th century nursery rhyme by the same name.
