Civil War Album with Soldiers
Leather photo album and 26 photos: 23 CDV, 2 tintypes, 1 lithograph. This is being offered exactly as found last week - nothing added or removed. Some of my photos came out a bit blurry but all of the actual images are normal - sharp and clear. Quite a few soldiers in here including some signed and/or identified. Soldier "Marquis Jeffers - killed civil war - buried Gloversville".

CSA General Albert Pike litho. Soldier (Signed in pen) Truly yours Capt Bill Stewart - 4th Regt 1st OC? (Signed in Pen) Milon G. Soldier with star badge (Peplow & Blach, Memphis TN backmark). Soldier with flag identified as Sergeant Bates, signed in pen on back.

Man Id'd as Lewis Cline in pencil (mounted tintype). Officer with sword Ink ID.. Probably not signature Robert Anderson (Quinby & Co, Charleston, SC backmark). Officers and women with canteens R. Soldier (Signed in pencil) "Thomas Schlabach" (Knecht, Easton, PA). Soldier (Signed in pen) W. Mounted tintype of a boy in military style jacket, identified as Norman Curry on album page. An unusual CDV of a boot.

Some other soldiers identified on the album pages. In total I counted at least 18 obvious soldier / military CDVs here, and potentially a few more. A second Habicht & Mealey, Pine Bluff, AR (the first is Milon G Cook). I only took two CDVs completely out of the album to examine / scan, then I replaced them. The rest I only slid partially down in their slots to check for backmarks and IDs.

When I did that, I did. Did notice some were trimmed or had clipped corners. If you are interested in the condition of a specific image. Or images, ask and I will remove them completely (assuming I feel I can do so without damaging them) and. The album is about 6" x 5" and is overall very good and intact, though the leather is splitting along the spine.
