This Civil War soldier carries his slouch hat in one hand, on his sleeve is the rolled gold braiding of the calvary. The great coat covers his military, standing collar jacket with it's large shining buttons, and his Civil war pants. The picture is clear, some micro surface age cracking, effects nothing in my opinion, just showing it's original age. The photo is large 4''x3'', and has a glass plate, copper matt, and copper surround, holding it in place ready for a case.
The patriotic cases is 5''x 4'' and has all the bells and whistles, the same design is on both sides, the liberty hat, two pikes with pennants, crossed cannons, cannon balls, and anchor on the bottom, this is in gutta percha case, with a beautiful blue velvet in one side and the tin type in the other. The case has a tiny micro bend, which in my opinion effects nothing, there is micro replied crack that again effects nothing. The case is strong, very well built, with copper surround shows the civil war soldier with his slouch hat, cape, and uniform, with braiding on the sleeve very well.
