Original identified CDV of Lafayette Derby of Company H 150th Pennsylvania Infantry. Clearly visible on Derby's cap is the lettering H 150. Image is identified in ink at the bottom of the image Here is to you and the Union L Derby. Derby presented this image to Adelbert H Steele of Meadville, Pennsylvania on March 11, 1863.

The presentation on the back reads, A. Derby then listed Steele's full name and home town. Lafayette Derby, of Crawford County Pennsylvania, mustered into Company H of the 150th on 8/28/62 and mustered out 6/23/65 at Elmira New York. He was wounded at Spotsylvania Courthouse, Virginia 5/10/64.

He was promoted to corporal 8/1/64 and 2nd Lieutenant 6/15/65. A great image from a regiment that suffered over 250 casualties at the battle of Gettysburg.
