An original souvenir of the looting of Fairfax Courthouse, Virginia- a Confederate States of America Invoice for forage for Cooper's Battery, dated April 1st, 1864 and signed by Captain Thomas Tabb as AQM. The 1p 8 x 6" Invoice on brown Confederate paper has an ink inscription on the reverse" Picked up by Wm.

Millhouse at the sacking of Fairfax Courthouse during the Rebellion. Confederate Captain Thomas Tabb served with thw 3rd Virginia Infantry.. The person who picked up the Invoice, William Millhouse could have been one of 3 Union soldiers with that name. One was a member of the 49th Pennsylvania Infantry who was killed a month later at Spottsylvania Court House.

The Invoice has folds and a small tear at one fold but is Overall VG with minor edge wear and age stains. NOTE: Any repair to a paper item is listed. I use only museum curator approved archival repair tape.
