Letter is reviewed and approved by Staff officers for General Peck at Suffolk Va and by the Staff of the 132nd NYVI which Stewart served in.
Interesting and sad state of affairs for this soldier's family. Residence was not listed; 25 years old. Enlisted on 7/26/1862 at New York City, NY as a Sergeant. On 10/4/1862 he mustered into "H" Co.
