Sixth-plate tintype of Civil War soldier in Hardee hat with infantry brass, holding his musket. On his Hardee hat is the number "27" and the letter "F" for 27 Regiment Infantry, Co. He looks like he has a holster with revolver on his belt and appears to be wearing a Massachusetts regulation belt plate. This fine image is housed in a full patriotic Union case by S. The small fuzzy piece of material on the right side of the case is just something I use so that the metal clasp of the case does not damage my scanner glass.
