Very Thick Crystal Glass with typical scratches came with years being in use. Clean brass movement for a watch of 139 years old! Winds and sets as it should. Runs Strong and keep pretty good time for old timer, but was not timed for accuracy and reliability, so some service may be needed.
Newport Coin is trade mark of Dueber Watch Case Mfg. The Duber Watch Case Manufacturing Co. Started in Cincinnati, OH in the 1860s, moving to Newport, KY in the 1874. In 1889 it moved to Canton, OH. The company's existence ended in 1930.
