Nice civil war soldier CDV. ID'd on back as LJ Banks.
Per Historical Data Systems (HDS) Banks joined the Company H. 11th Iowa Infantry as corporal on 9/25/1861; promoted sergeant 2/1/62; discharged for promotion 6/5/63; promoted Captain (this photograph) 6/5/63 in Company K, 47th USCT (United States Colored Troops); mustered out of service 1/5/66. Lived in Seattle, King County Washington after the war and buried in Mount Pleasant Cemetery, Seattle, 1915. Came with a small collection of Civil War cabs and pics.
