This is an original 1860's Civil War cdv photo showing a very young soldier. The soldier is wearing a snake type buckle of a type often associated with Confederate use during the Civil War.
But, we will leave it up to the Civil War experts to determine if he is a Confederate or Union soldier. He stands with one hand on the barrel of a clean & fresh looking percussion rifle. Next to him on an ornate stand sits his kepi which has a shield shaped corps badge attached to it. This photo was found in Arizona.
But, we do not know where it was taken as there is no photographer's marking. This cdv measures 3 15/16 inches by 2 1/2 inches. The photo is in excellent condition with light age toning.
Three corners of the matt are sharp with only slight wear to the bottom right corner. This item is inventory #9625. Is an estimate and the actual cost may differ.
