Civil War Soldier in Patriotic Union Case

1/9 cased tintype of a Civil War soldier. He has lightly tinted pink cheeks and gold buttons. Housed in its original patriotic case, with flags and a raised cap design on its covers. The entire piece, tintype and case, are in excellent antique condition. There are one or two very tiny mat abrasions; the other specks around his head look like debris underneath the glass, and not damage. Tintype has no bends or anything serious....

Couple of pinprick mat abrasions visible under magnification, and some small bits of debris stuck to the underside of the glass... I doubt it's ever been removed from the case. The case's hinges are tight, it clicks and stays shut. I see no hairline cracks, and I don't see or feel any chips... Possibly missed a very small chip or two, but I don't think so.
