An Original Civil War Union Army clothing account sheet, listing items issued January to April, 1864, to Pvt Syrus Werkeiser, Co B, 51st Pennsylvania Volunteers, each time signed by Pvt Werkeiser times, w final note, June, 1864, that he that he is "Killed in Battle June 3rd, 1864". The account is also signed each time by Captain Daniel Nicholas as Company Commander as witness to the clothing issued. 1p 8 x 12 ptd/ink, edge wear, age stains, Overall VG. Comes w service info, showing Private Werkeiser was killed at Cold Harbor, Virginia. The reverse has the clothing record of Private George Walter also of the unit and each time signed by Captain Nicholas as well.
