This is a CIVIL WAR SOLDIER NEEDLEPOINT BACKGAMMON SET IN A WOOD CASE in excellent condition from my non-smoking home. The wood case is quite heavy and has brass latches and a leather or faux leather handle.

There is also a protective cloth cover with a hook and loop closure in a Southwest-look print. The wood case measures 14 1/2" x 11 1/2" x 2 1/2 thick. The game board is needlepoint (it could be petit point--I'm not sure).

There are very detailed Civil War Union and Confederate soldiers, American flags and Confederate flags. Each side is covered with thin Plexiglas--one side is loose. Also included are 15 teal and 15 white stones (game pieces). Four dice, a doubling cube and two dice cups (leather or faux leather covered) are also included.
