Civil War Soldier's ID'ed Walking Cane marked 1861 / N. Wood, Bone & Lead Fill. The cane is 38-inches long, has 3 finger knobs near the top end. The top is a piece of Cow or Pig Leg Bone with 1861 / N. The soldier mounted & affixed the carved bone to the cane by filling the space with melted lead.
