Civil War Soldier tintype, sixth-plate, gold tinting. Soldier is sitting at a table, pouring himself a drink. He's wearing an oil cloth covered cap. On inside of case is written: This was taken the Spring of 1861. " Then lower down: "June 10th 1862, which I assume is the date the unidentified fellow wrote the first note.
