Civil War soldier with musket

The image is a ninth plate size tintype. It shows the soldier holding his musket with bayonet attached on his right shoulder. The is a round metal button on his cross shoulder sash and a metal belt buckle. I have added computer images that have been made slightly lighter for better viewing as wll as magnified views. There is no emulsion loss to the picture.

Inside the case is a paper with the name. Date of 1938 and a picture which claims to be the grandson of the soldier. The case has a repaired spine but is otherwise in very fine condition.
