Civil War Soldier withSword UNION Tintype Identified KURTZ WV OH PA Genealogy

Offered is a Civil War Tintype of a UNION Soldier. He bears a pose with a Sword in his right hand. I cannot 100% verify his identity so the following is based under my assumptions. Along with this Tintype are 3 additional smaller Tintypes with portraits of individuals with there names written above. Include a dual-like photo of Lydia S. Rock Kurtz and Daniel S. Kurtz along with a photo of William D. My assumption is that these individuals are related to the Soldier and that the last name of him would be KURTZ. Lydia would either be his Mother or Sister-In-Law and Daniel would be his Brother or Father. Rock would be Lydia's Brother so the Soldier would be his nephew.

I'm not really good at determining ages from photos so that's why I'm not sure the relationship. Concerning whereabouts, these Photos were acquire in the Northern Panhandle of West Virginia. Now, because it is so close to the Ohio and Pennsylvania borders I'm not actually sure where this Family is from thus he could have fought for any 1 of these 3 States. Soldier Tintype is roughly 2 7/8 x 3 3/8.

The smaller ones are about 1 x 1 1/2. Would make a fine addition to your Civil War Collection.
