Per the family this buckle and another that we will be listing were found side-by-side by collector in 1977 on private land with permission only 800 yards from the location of Fort Magruder in Williamsburg Virginia. The buckle does have a crack at the top center between the U and the S. Great authentic buckle that displays well.
