You are purchasing an original sepia carte de visite (CDV). It was taken in Nashville, Tennessee, USA during the Civil War. SUBJECT: A Union Army officer poses in a photo studio in full uniform. He stands on a piece of carpet with a white backdrop. His uniform as brass buttons and belt buckle.

He holds his un-sheathed service sword in front of him. CAPTION: The photographer's mark on the back says Morse's Gallery of the Cumberland.

Opposite the Commercial Hotel, Nashville, Tenn. " On the top of the reverse side, it says "No. SIZE: 3.75 by 2.5 inches. CONDITION: The corners have been clipped.

The image looks like it has discoloring from age. On the back, there the remnant of where a revenue stamp used to be.
