Ambrotype or possibly a tintype? Of young Union soldier, William J. King Jul 12 1842 - killed in 2nd Battle of Bull Run Aug, 1863 - Mothers oldest brother (note: the actual date of the 2nd Battle of Bull Run was Aug, 1862). In this image, King wears a kepi and fully buttoned jacket. Cursory research indicates that Private William J. King served in the 4th Maine Regiment Infantry, Company K (Belfast City Grays). On-line roster indicates he was deceased in 1862.
