You are purchasing an original, 1/6th plate photo. This is an Ambrotype with a full Union case. SUBJECT: A young Union Army soldier poses for a photo in a studio during the Civil War. He has blue eyes and dark hair. He wears his kepi hat and the brass buttons on his uniform are hand painted CAPTION: None.

SIZE: 3.25 by 2.75 inches. CONDITION: The case is a full Union case with the image of a bee hive. However, the top of one side has cracked off.

The image is a little dark. Parts of the dark portions have flecked off the glass to give it a 3D effect.
