Here's an authentic 1860s Civil War era early Paraffine Gun Oil bottle that may have been used by Civil War soldiers to lubricate their guns and keep them in good firing condition. The early smooth base bottle is embossed PARAFFINE / GUN OIL / PARAFFINE (bold emb on sunken front and side panels)... Hand blown in mold, bimal.... Early smooth base with straight line hinge mold seam across bottom.....

Crude drippy applied square ring lip.... Good condition with no chips or damage. A dug bottle with haze.
