Simpson on the back and has the lodge number 113 on the front which represents the Jackson Elk's Lodge #113 in Michigan. This fob belonged to William H. Simpson who's residence was in Grass Lake, Jackson County, Michigan and he was 21 years old when he. He served in the 1st Regiment Michigan Volunteer Engineers and Mechanics. I have his diary from the year 1863 when he was in Camp Elk River. Tennessee which I will be listing in the future. I will include the pictured research from the internet about his regiment which includes a listing of the soldiers.

Is not marked for metal content but laser and scratch tested for 10k gold. The Elk's tooth a very little staining, no chips and sits securely in the unique mounting.

There is a Ruby or Garnet eye. It measures 3/4" wide and 1 1/2" tall. My scale does not weigh between grams so it could be a little more than 6 grams but that includes the tooth. We sell mostly antique and vintage items so a certain amount of wear is expected.
