Signed by the Artist Overall Artwork Size 11" x 14". Depicted here is the 2nd Zouave style uniform issued to the 10th New York Infantry regiment in June of 1861, after the initial blue uniforms wore out from being poorly made. The replacement uniform was described as being of a heavier cloth of dark brown, trimmed in red, and in the same design as the previous uniform. None of these uniforms are currently known to have survived the war.
