Guaranteed an ambrotype and NOT a tintype. Civil War images are common in tintypes but quite rare in ambrotypes. The soldier is quite young, tinted buttons and buckle as well as face and the red top to the table. A few scratches but not bad at all, the brass frame measures 3 1/4 inches tall and 2 3/4 inches across, I have no ID for him just that it came out of OHIO.
