Original RAY RUBIN Painting Civil War US Infantry Picket Soldier 1863 Artwork

This is an ORIGINAL signed drawing/oil painting by Raymond Rubin from 1973. This is NOT a reproduction or a print. This is the original artist painting (Oil painting using a very fine brush). The soldier is a US Infantry Picket soldier from Civil War Winter 1863. This illustration was used as cover art for the Grenadier Miniature line of metal soldiers, and perhaps also in the Squadron Signal books and possibly other publications such as OSPREY.

The board measures 11" tall and 8.5" wide. The figure as drawn measures 7 tall. This has been stored for almost 50 years!

There are some light smudges and scuffs around the edges of the board. Was stored with a parchment paper cover for protection (see last pic). Please see pics for details. Let me know if you have any questions... And thank you for looking!
