Pair Cast Bronzed and Polychrome Metal Civil War Soldiers by BRADLEY & HUBBARD

Rare pair late 19th/early 20th century bronzed and polychrome cast metal sculptures of Civil War soldiers by Bradley and Hubbard. One is labeled NAVY, the other ARMY. This is a matched pair. Navy stands 13 inches tall with a base that is 7.5 x 5 inches. Army is about 12.5 inches with the same base measurements. Each has beautiful original patina and is in wonderful condition. Each as the upper portions of their gun barrels missing where they screw onto the rest of the guns just above the soldiers hands. The bottom portion of Armys gun (stock) has a crack in the metal. The gun strap on army is missing. The rings are there though. The scabbard on Navy is bent onwards and can be gently bent back into place but I will leave that to the new owner. Perhaps a few very very minor mars, but I only mention this Incase there are one minute issues, which I dont really see.

In excellent condition for their age. I would say nearly mint except for the missing gun parts. Paper on bottom of Navy is in good condition. The paper on Army is partially torn away. Original metal mesh underneath both is intact.

Very detailed and artistic pieces. Truly wonderful objects of art.
