1/6 ambrotype in full case.. Dates to around 1860 to very early Civil War period, 1861.

Inside of the case is writing: "Fred + Shubert", but no last names. From a collection of 1850s and 1860s photos from Missouri, several by. So I believe it's likely that this image. Was also taken in or around Saint Louis, the state of Missouri. However, a researcher sent the following information, which is interesting: While searching about Shubert, I found a Shubert Davenport, He was in many regiments, one included the 95th Pennsylvania infantry, As I was looking at the roster I found a Frederick Keller.

They both enlisted 10 days apart. Shubert was transferred to a Veteran Corps the next month, but Frederick was Discharged in June of 1865. And Frederick died on an unknown date.

Very good antique condition, behind original mat and glass, and housed in its full original case.
