On offer an ambrotype of a Union Soldier holding his sword, his Kepi Cap is on his knee with an "A" on top which probably represents his regiment or company. His US brass buckle is prominent but reversed as was typical of negatives of the day.

This is a larger format ambro, called a quarter plate the image (in case) measures approx 3 1/4 x 4 1/4. The photo is in a half case, the image is in good condition with no significant flaking, or loss--minor wear see photos.
