Original CDV of Daniel Carleton Clark (Born May 14, 1841) Co. K, 5th Maine Volunteers, who was wounded in. The Battle of Spotsylvania Courthouse on May 10, 1864, and died of his wounds at Fredericksburg, Virginia. Seven days later (May 17, 1864 - 3 days after his birthday). He's buried at Evergreen Cemetery in Portland.

By Clark, are provided here for reference and identification purposes only - hard copies are not included. NOTE: Another online reference states he was wounded at the Battle of the Wilderness on May 16. However, this does not match up with his gravestone date. The same source says that there is a stained.

Glass memorial to Clark in the Fifth Maine Regiment Museum on Peaks Island, in Portland. CDV is 4" x 2.5" with studio imprint of H. Smith & Son, Portland, Maine. It's in very good antique condition. Overall, with some stains, as shown.
