A light-colored pipe bowl somewhat in the manner of Meerschaum depicting the head of a Zouave soldier. This soldier not only has a beard and mustache, but haunting glass eyes.
He wears a typical Zouave-style hat with a large tassel at the back. As the pipe bowl approaches the stem (now missing), there is a repousse silver ferrule. Pipe is 4.5 inches in length.
The stem would have held the mouthpiece and allows the user to draw in smoke. The tenon of the stem would have fit into the silver ferrule. This pipe is missing the stem. CONDITION: bowl shows great age and wear with intense charring of the bowl. Outer material has expected wear and patina.
