Rare Civil War ninth plate tintype of a double armed Ohio soldier wearing an OVM belt plate with a revolver and bowie knife in his belt. Housing : Nice full brown leatherette case with geometric motif, amateur electrical tape repaired spine, and very nice red velvet plush. Condition : Light mat marks and surface rust along the upper edges with a bit of bubbling upper right. The emulsion is still stable and the tintype views quite well as the scan exaggerates the flaws.
