THIS BOOK IS IN NEAR FINE CONDITION This wonderful, first edition, antique book is bound in handsome red-colored covers with gold lettering on the cover and spine. The exterior is clean and bright. The gold lettering remains bright on both the cover and spine. The book has liight edge wear to the spine tips, but not bad. The pages are clean and in excellent condition. There isn't a mark in the book except for the prior owner pasteboard on the front, inside cover.

The pages are free from any writing, smudging, foxing, stamps, pasteboards or other markings. It is not an ex-library book. The binding is solid throughout the book; both hinges are fine. The book features an attractive frontispiece of General Lee in uniform. The original, protective tissue guard to the frontispiece is in great condition.
