Tintype of Civil War Cavalry Soldiers Armed with Carbines
Rare sixth plate Tintype of four Union Cavalry soldiers armed with Sharps carbines and Sabers. The two seated soldiers are holding the Sharps carbines by the stocks next to them, while the two standing soldiers appear to have the carbines attached to their carbine slings (all soldiers are wearing carbine slings, but the buckles are not evident). Three of the Cavalry soldiers have sabers and all are dressed in standard Cavalry uniforms. Image is in a half wood and leather case. Overall condition is very good with age related "alligator" marks on the emulsion with the emulsion being stable with no chips. Minor waves in the tinplate.

There is no id information in the case. Overall, a very nice collectable image of scarce subject matter.
